Anxiety, Sleep, and Chronic Pain Disorders

Mood Disorders

This disorder is a mental health condition that disrupts mood, leading to inconsistent feelings about, and reactions toward, your current circumstances. Mood disorders may involve feeling sad on occasion or on a consistent basis. Additional symptoms might include losing interest in your important parts of life; experiencing overwhelming anxiousness about certain events or situations; or fluctuations between happiness or sadness.

Anxiety & Depression

Anxiety is disorder that leaves a person with a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease. Often times the feeling is typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome.

Depression is a serious medical condition that is associated with symptoms such as melancholy, loss of pleasure, loss of energy, difficulty in concentrating, and suicidal thoughts.

Sleep Disorders

Sleep disorders involve problems with the quality, timing and amount of sleep, and can cause problems with functioning and distress during the daytime. There are a number of different types of sleep disorders, of which insomnia is the most common. Other sleep disorders include narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea and restless leg syndrome.

Chronic Pain Disorders

Chronic pain disorders can make every day activity difficult for you to go to work, exercise, take a shower and even dress yourself.

If your pain is out of control, it can also take an emotional toll on you, effecting both your self-esteem and general outlook on life.

Chronic Pain Syndrome can start with one or varying degrees of the following: Low back pain, headaches, joint pain, muscle aches, burning or tingling pain in different parts of the body or jolts of sharp pain.
